My collection of Nyx cosmetics

Decided to experiment 2 eye shadow looks
(hence the weird colour differences read about it here)

I think I have a new found love for blogging, it's actually really satisfying. Can i just say that I'm so proud of my photography skills in this post? Yes, all the pictures are real and taken by me with a little help of the natural sunlight. :)

Hello beautiful people! First things first, this isn't a sponsored post. *although I'd love it if it was*
Wanna know how i got all these? Keep reading.

The other day I was watching all the InstaStories on my Instagram and I came across this post by NYX Cosmetics Malaysia

As y'all know, I love makeup and brushes but what I love the most is free stuff. So I thought I would test out my luck, because maybe my luck for giveaways has returned? Naturally, I replied with my depressing sense of humour:

A couple of hours later I got a reply from them and THIS HAPPEN:

I guess they saw the humour in my reply. I couldn't believe that I was THAT lucky. Well, this goes to show that anything can happen if you just try. Anyway, after about half an hour later, they said that my brush was ready to be collected at their store @ IOI City Mall. I was practically jumping with joy!

Flash forward to Saturday (12/8/17), my parents had to settle some renovation stuff at Homepro so I thought I'd tag along and collect my brush on the way. I strolled into NYX and met my friend that worked there Elaine, tbh it was the first time I've ever seen here irl HAHAHA. She's so pretty and her skin is so fair omg *jelly*. I told her about the mini giveaway and she went to get it for me.

Here's the thing, I went into the store EMPTY HANDED and came out with THESE.
That's the magic about going into makeup stores, you always come out with something. Whether it's a bag full or product or two arms full of swatches.

*screams*

This was really awesome for me because I love Nyx. Their products are not as pricey compared to other high end makeup brands, plus they're cruelty free. So by combining this with the Nyx makeup that I already own, I want to show you guys my whole collection!

1. NYX Total Control Drop Foundation + the brush to go with it! (shades: Light & true beige)

2. NYX Micro Brow Pencil (Shade Auburn  *shade is too light but we'll make do*)
3. NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette (ombre)

4. NYX Lip Primer (Deep Nude)
5. NYX Matte Lipstick (Shade: Alabama)

6. NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick x 4 (from the left Shade: HEBE, doll, spellbound, Peach Berlin). Doll and HEBE looks the same in this picture but they're actually really different. HEBE has a more wine kind of look while doll has a pinkish nude look.

7. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream x 3 (Shade: Prague, Seoul, Milan) Love the smell.

Here's my little NYX collection! I got a lot of them on sale, some at full price. I hope you guys enjoyed this little post about one of the loves of my life: makeup.

That's all from me now! Leave a comment and tell me what do you think about nyx, and recommend anything else to me.

My first try at eyeshadow: beginner's stuggle

If you're like me and you love makeup but don't know how to do it like the make up gurus then you'll relate to this post. Last Saturday, I got a new eye shadow palette to add to my Nyx collection, but then I realised that I am shit when it comes to eye shadow. Don't get me wrong, I love makeup as much as the next girl, but the learning a new skill is almost impossible.

It took me over 2 years to get my brows to look ok
(NOT EVEN ON FLEEK).

*sigh* I gusess it's safe to say that I'm average when it comes to eyebrows, lipstick and mascara. But I'm an amateur when it's eyeliner and I'm HORRIBLE when it comes to eye shadow. But alas, I must try to get a presentable look because I need a look for KL Fashion week 2017. No way am I attending that with my basic eyebrows, foundation and lip balm look.

After a few hours of testing, i managed to get this very basic look. Comment which side looks better!

THE STRUGGLE OF BEING A BEGINNER

1. Not having/knowing the appropriate brush to use

A'pieu X Rilakkuma BB Cushion & Blusher

AFTER A THOUSAND YEARS,
I finally decided to edit and post my review on a product I received in March. Yes girls and boys, MARCH. This is procrastination to a new level. Anyway, this is the video i was talking about.

Clearly, someone doesn't know what "too much makeup" is. However I hope my commentary made it a bit more entertaining to watch.

My overall thoughts on the BB cushion is
  • It was too fair for my skin tone
  • It has higher coverage than other BB creams I've used.
  • Easy to use
  • The sponge in the compact was really soft
  • It's adorable!
  • It has a lot of product
As for the Cushion Blusher
  • I loved the colour pigmentation
  • It was hard to control (because it's liquid)
  • The sponge in the compact was kinda hard (idk why)
  • The puff was tiny and cute af

Shout out to urcosme.my because this was a giveaway gift from them

Things to eat in Kuching Sarawak!

Hey guys and gals!
In this blog post, I'm gonna elaborate more on the food that I ate on my trip to Sarawak! If you want to watch my Vlog on my first day there click here!

As you can see, one can only edit so much of a video. Most of the important facts that i wanted to talk about from my Kuching trip can't really be explained through video. So I've decided to dedicate a blog post about it. Oh, and I might as well revive my dead blog. P/s it's been dead for over 4 years

DAY 1:
After settling into my friend's house, we decided to get lunch at

I'm coming home.

I wanna blog more often, but I have absolutely nothing to blog about. It's not like i'm completely lifeless or anything. It's just that I can only blog about limited things. Since this is a public blog and my family members might be reading this right now, (Hi guys!)
